7 October, 13:00 | Inspiration Stage, Hall 3.0 | Frankfurt Book Fair

Versopolis is a European poetry platform dedicated to helping emerging poets reach international audiences. Through translation, publication, festival appearances and digital initiatives, it creates opportunities for poets and their work to travel across languages and cultures. Join us in Frankfurt to discover a literary community built on exchange, collaboration and the diversity of Europe’s poetic voices.

Opening remarks by Alessandra Luchetti, Deputy Director of EACEA, will be followed by an introduction to the platform’s activities and a presentation of its newly published anthology, Europas Stimmen / mapping poetic voices. Published through a partnership between Versopolis, its German member festival Hausacher LeseLenz, and publisher Schiler & Mücke GbR, the anthology brings together 70 Versopolis poets in German translation. A poetic atlas of Europe, it reveals a continent shaped by many languages, experiences and perspectives. Free copies will be available to the audience.

The programme concludes with readings by Efe Duyan (Latvia/Turkey), Marie Iljašenko (Czechia) and Aljaž Koprivnikar (Slovenia)—an invitation to encounter three distinct poetic voices and experience the connections that poetry makes possible.
