About

Literary works have always been one of the most important sources for film and series productions. But how exactly does the journey from book to screen work, and what developments are currently shaping this market in Europe?

As part of Book-to-Screen Day, Dr. Agnes Schneeberger (European Audiovisual Observatory), scout Alice Townson (Zephyr Partnership) and producer Eric Geay (SND-Groupe M6) discuss current trends in European book-to-screen adaptations. From three different perspectives and regions, this panel, moderated by Erin Cox (Publishing Perspectives), offers insights into the intersection of two industries: from material selection to collaboration between publishers and production companies to current market developments.

The event is a cooperation between Frankfurter Buchmesse and the Berlinale Co-Production Market.
