Yatou Baldé reads from her children’s book Aïcha: The Birth, the first volume in the Adventures of Aïcha series.

Set in Senegal, the story follows Aïcha from her very first moments, from her mother’s pregnancy to the day she is born and lovingly welcomed into her family. Through warmth, tenderness and emotion, the book celebrates the universal experience of welcoming a new life, while inviting young readers and their families into Aïcha’s world.
