Edition Helden is a young publishing house for children's comics and illustrated children's books, guided by the motto "Sparking a love of reading through comics". The starting point was a gap in the market: conventional early-reader books often overwhelm children with their length and frequently bore them with their content, while comics are too rarely adapted to the needs of beginning readers – for example, through sufficiently large, easy-to-read type.

This is exactly where Edition Helden comes in: with simple text, clear language, large type, and strong illustrations, its comics turn reading frustration into reading enthusiasm and give children quick success experiences when reading independently for the first time. All titles are tested with children beforehand to ensure they truly motivate rather than bore – without sacrificing the sophisticated stories that parents also enjoy reading aloud or handing to their kids.
