Czechia is the Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2026 under the motto A Country on the Coast. Inspired by Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, the theme presents Czech literature as an integral part of the world's ocean of stories and ideas. At the heart of Czechia's presentation will be the Guest of Honour Pavilion, designed by the Czech studio JinJan as an open, playful and sustainable space for literature, dialogue and discovery. More than 75 Czech authors, together with illustrators, translators and artists, will present the diversity and vitality of contemporary Czech culture through an extensive literary and cultural programme.
