Presentation with Uilleam Blacker, Yuliia Iliuha, Pavlo “Pashtet” Belianskyi and Roddy Doyle
Moderator: Kateryna Kazimirova

A few pages can carry what a novel may need entire chapters to convey – and contemporary Ukrainian short fiction demonstrates this with remarkable force. The panel brings together authors, translators and international literary experts to explore what short forms can achieve that longer narratives cannot, and why Ukrainian short fiction deserves greater international attention now. The conversation also marks the launch of the Hryhir Short Fiction Award.
