Discussion | With Anton Martynov and representatives of Ranok Publishing House.
Russia’s war has also severely affected the infrastructure of Ukraine’s book market. Missile and drone attacks have destroyed printing houses, warehouses and millions of already printed books. The consequences extend far beyond the immediate material losses, affecting supply chains, jobs and investment and forcing publishers of all sizes to consider how they can build sustainable businesses under these conditions.
What strategies do large and small publishers need? What role can digitalisation, e-books, audiobooks and new distribution models play? And what political and economic conditions are needed for the industry not only to survive, but to continue to develop?
A conversation about the economic consequences of the war, technological change, resilience and the future of Ukraine’s publishing industry.
