How can you explore a landscape without seeing it? To mark the Czech Republic’s appearance as Guest of Honor at the Frankfurt Book Fair, the DIALOGMUSEUM invites you to a special journey through the Bohemian Forest—in complete darkness.

In “DIALOGUE IN THE DARK: An Exhibition to Discover the Invisible”, blind and visually impaired guides lead visitors through four lightless, themed rooms. In honor of the Czech Republic, the first room will be transformed into the Bohemian Forest for two months: sounds, scents, and tactile objects tell the story of the landscape and create a sensory approach to one of the guest country’s fascinating regions. Without visual impressions, perception changes: hearing, smell, and touch come to the forefront. Thus, the Bohemian Forest is not viewed but experienced in an unfamiliar way. A multisensory encounter with the Czech Republic that sparks curiosity about the guest country and its presence at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
