About
Rebellion Publishing is the award-winning publishing arm of leading European games development company Rebellion. The tentpole of our publishing is 2000 AD, a weekly Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror anthology comic that has been an icon of British art since it first published in 1977. It has produced such classic characters as Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper and Nemesis the Warlock and continues to publish thrilling, humorous and poignant new comics in its magazines every week, which are then collected into graphic novel format for the trade. Artists and writers who have worked for 2000 AD include Alan Moore, Garth Ennis, and Brian Bolland, and it continues to give a home to new creators who push the comic medium forward as their legendary predecessors did.
We are dedicated to preserving the heritage of British comics as well as looking to their future. We are the rightsholders to a trove of British comics dating back to the 19th Century and maintain an archive of this original material in our offices in Oxford. From this collection, which includes work from classic artists such as Hugo Pratt, Alberto Breccia and Don Lawrence, we produce the painstakingly restored volumes on our Treasury of British Comics list.
In addition to our comics we publish Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror fiction in both original settings and in the worlds of our award-winning video game IP, such as Sniper Elite, Atomfall and Zombie Army.
