Federal Minister Karin Prien will personally announce and honour the winners of the German Children’s Literature Award. Prizes will be awarded to the best picture book, children’s book, young adult book and non-fiction book from the nominations of the Jury of Critics, the Young Adult Jury’s choice, as well as the special prizes for Lifetime Achievement and New Talents. The awards ceremony will be hosted by Vivian Perkovic.

The German Children’s Literature Award is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and has been awarded annually since 1956. It is endowed with a total of 72,000 euros.
