Published in April 2025, it sold over 4,000 copies in just a few months, is now in its third printing, and was recognized as the best-selling book of the year by the distributor Inpaz Libros. Its impact has gone beyond sales: the Buenos Aires Ministry of Education has incorporated it as a teaching tool in public schools, it has been recognized by the Argentine National Congress, and the author has given lectures at educational institutions in Argentina and Paraguay.
Why is this book a commercial opportunity?
The overexposure of children to screens is one of the issues that most concerns families, educators, and health professionals in Spain. European governments are legislating restrictions on the use of mobile phones in schools and social media by minors. This book arrives at the perfect time.
✓ Highly topical issues: social media addiction, online gambling, cyberbullying, pornography, and eating disorders linked to screens.
✓ Triple audience: written for teenagers over 12 years old, but equally valuable for parents and educators.
✓ Professional endorsement: foreword by psychologist Maritchu Seitún and contributions from psychiatrist Matías Bonanni (Medical Director of INAC).
✓ Proven real impact: a survey of 150 teenage readers revealed that 42% improved their technology habits after reading it.
✓ Extensive media coverage: interviews in Infobae, Clarín, La Capital newspaper, MDZ, and numerous radio and television programs.
✓ Cross-selling potential: ideal for schools, PTAs, health centers, libraries, and as a gift from parents to children.
About the book
The first part of the book addresses the risks of overexposure to screens in a clear and accessible way for young people: dopamine addiction and loss of freedom, difficulty enjoying real life, sadness and depression, attention deficit, gambling addiction, pornography addiction, eating disorders, grooming, and cyberbullying.
The second part focuses on concrete solutions: how teenagers can protect themselves and where to find genuine well-being, the kind that doesn't disappear when the screen is turned off.
The central message—it's not your fault, but it is in your hands—resonates powerfully with young readers. In surveys, teenagers highlight the author's empathy: "I loved that the book tells us it's not our fault" (16 years old). "You can tell the book wants to help us, not scold us" (17 years old).
