China International Book Trading Corporation (CIBTC), formerly known as Guozi Shudian (meaning “International Bookstore” in English) when it was founded on December 1, 1949, is the first agency engaged in import and export of books and periodicals in the People’s Republic of China, which has since then shouldered the honorable mission of facilitating communication between Chinese culture and other cultures. CIBTC is currently one of the largest, most diverse, and strongest publication import and export institutions in China.

Having delved deep into the career over the past 76 years, the corporation has established a web of online and offline distribution channels covering more than 180 countries and regions around the world. It has maintained close business contacts with more than 3,000 overseas distributors, platforms, bookstores, publishers and over 5,000 libraries, and distributed hundreds of millions of copies of Chinese publications in more than 40 languages to all parts of the world.
