We publish, produce, and distribute audiobooks and ebooks by African authors and publishers, connecting locally rooted stories and authentic African voices with audiences across Africa and the global diaspora.

Through our mobile and web platforms, AkooBooks makes African literature more accessible and discoverable, while creating new digital markets and revenue opportunities for authors, publishers and voice talent. Our work spans audiobook production, digital distribution, rights and licensing, multilingual content and partnerships with publishers, schools and institutions.

Founded in 2017, AkooBooks is helping build a more connected African publishing ecosystem where African stories can travel across formats, languages and borders.
